These Terms contain a mandatory arbitration provision requiring that disputes be resolved through individual arbitration in certain circumstances, rather than jury trials or class action lawsuits. Please read Section 18 carefully.
1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms," "Agreement," or "Terms of Service") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Edustoo ("Edustoo," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Edustoo mobile application ("App"), website located at www.edustoo.com ("Website"), and all related services, features, content, and functionality (collectively, the "Service").
1.2 By downloading, installing, accessing, or using any part of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the Service and delete the App from your devices.
1.3 Edustoo reserves the right to modify, amend, update, or change these Terms at any time and at its sole discretion. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will:
1.4 Revised Terms shall become effective on the earlier of: (i) the end of such seven (7) day notice period, or (ii) your first access to or use of the Service after such changes are posted. Your continued use of the Service following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by the revised Terms.
1.5 These Terms incorporate by reference the following documents, which form an integral part of this Agreement:
1.6 In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and any other document referenced herein, these Terms shall prevail unless explicitly stated otherwise.
2.1 General Overview. Edustoo is a comprehensive educational platform designed to enhance academic performance through integrated learning tools, artificial intelligence-powered mentorship, and social collaboration features. The Service enables users to organize their academic life, track progress, connect with peers, and receive personalized guidance.
2.2 Service Modules. The Service consists of three (3) primary modules:
(a) Individual Development Module: A suite of personal productivity and academic tracking tools, including but not limited to:
(b) Social Module: Collaborative features enabling users to connect, communicate, and work together, including but not limited to:
(c) Mentor AI Module: An artificial intelligence-powered coaching system that provides personalized academic guidance and recommendations based on user data and activity within the Service.
2.3 Artificial Intelligence Features. The Service incorporates artificial intelligence technology, specifically Google Gemini, to power the Mentor AI feature. You acknowledge and agree that:

Edustoo reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to modify, update, improve, enhance, add, remove, or suspend any features, content, or functionality, temporarily or permanently discontinue the Service or any part thereof, and change usage limits, storage allocations, or feature availability. Edustoo shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Service.
3.1 Minimum Age. You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to create an account and use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement.
3.2 Users Under 18. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher), you represent and warrant that:
3.3 Parental Responsibility. Parents and legal guardians are encouraged to monitor and supervise the online activities of minors using the Service. By permitting a minor to use the Service, the parent or legal guardian agrees to supervise the minor's use, ensure compliance with these Terms and Community Guidelines, accept full responsibility for all activities conducted through the minor's account, and accept liability for any consequences arising from the minor's use of the Service.
3.4 Children Under 13. The Service is not intended for and shall not be used by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or process personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a user is under 13 years of age, we will immediately suspend or terminate the account and delete all personal information associated with that account.
3.5 Reporting Underage Users. If you become aware of any user who is under the age of 13 using the Service, please report this immediately to info@edustoo.com.
3.6 Legal Capacity. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement in your jurisdiction.
3.7 Geographic Restrictions. You represent and warrant that you are not located in, or a resident of, any country subject to comprehensive trade sanctions or embargoes, not identified on any governmental list of prohibited or restricted parties, and not otherwise prohibited from accessing or using the Service under applicable law.
4.1 Account Creation. To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using:
4.2 Registration Information. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information as requested during the registration process. You further agree to promptly update your registration information to maintain its accuracy and completeness.
4.3 Email Verification. For email-based registrations, you may be prompted to verify your email address. While email verification is recommended for account security, certain features may be accessible without verification. However, Edustoo reserves the right to require email verification for access to specific features or functionalities.
4.4 Phone Verification for Social Features. Access to social features of the Service, including but not limited to Group Workspaces, Duo Mode, and messaging functionality, requires phone number verification. This requirement exists to ensure the authenticity of users, maintain community safety and integrity, and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse. Users who do not complete phone verification will have limited access to social features but may still use individual features of the Service.
4.5 Account Security. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, restricting access to your account and devices, and all activities that occur under your account, whether or not authorized by you.
4.6 Security Breach Notification. You agree to immediately notify Edustoo at info@edustoo.com if you become aware of or suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account. Edustoo shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
4.7 Account Restrictions. Edustoo reserves the right to refuse registration or cancel an account at any time, require additional verification or authentication, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and limit the number of accounts from a single device or IP address.
4.8 One Account Per User. Each user may maintain only one (1) active account. Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing restrictions, manipulating features, or any other deceptive purpose is strictly prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts.
5.1 General Conduct. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are solely responsible for your conduct and any content you create, submit, post, or share through the Service.
5.2 Community Guidelines. All users must comply with Edustoo's Community Guidelines, available at www.edustoo.com/community, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Academic Integrity Notice
Edustoo is committed to supporting honest learning. The Service should be used as a study aid, not as a means to circumvent academic requirements. Violations of academic integrity policies may result in account termination.
5.4 Content Moderation. Edustoo reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor, review, or edit any content, remove content that violates these Terms, suspend or terminate violating accounts, and report illegal activities to law enforcement authorities.
5.5 Reporting Violations. If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms, please report it immediately using the in-app reporting feature or by contacting info@edustoo.com.
5.6 Consequences of Violations. Violation of these Terms may result in warning or temporary suspension, removal of content, permanent termination of account, legal action where appropriate, or reporting to law enforcement.
5.7 User Blocking. Users have the ability to block other users. When you block a user, that user will no longer be able to contact you or view your profile, and you will no longer see content from that user.
6.1 Mentor AI Overview. The Service includes an artificial intelligence-powered feature called "Mentor AI," which provides personalized educational guidance, study recommendations, and academic coaching. Mentor AI is designed to act as a virtual study companion that understands your academic journey and provides tailored suggestions.
6.2 Technology Provider. Mentor AI is powered by Google Gemini, a third-party artificial intelligence technology provided by Google LLC. By using Mentor AI, you acknowledge and agree that your interactions may be processed by Google's servers and systems, such processing is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, Edustoo does not control and is not responsible for Google's data processing practices, and you consent to the transfer of your data to Google for providing AI-powered features.
6.3 Data Used by Mentor AI. To provide personalized recommendations, Mentor AI accesses and analyzes data from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
AI Disclaimer
YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT: Mentor AI is an automated system that generates responses based on algorithms. AI-generated content is provided "AS IS" for informational purposes only. Mentor AI is NOT a substitute for professional educators, tutors, or advisors. AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate suggestions. You should independently verify any information before acting upon it. Edustoo shall not be liable for any decisions made based on AI-generated content.
6.5 AI Content Ownership. All AI-generated content provided through Mentor AI remains the property of Edustoo. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use AI-generated content for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.
6.6 AI Chat History. Your conversations with Mentor AI are stored to provide continuity, enable you to review past conversations, improve personalization, and enhance the Service. You may delete your AI chat history at any time through the App settings.
6.7 AI Improvements. Edustoo may use anonymized and aggregated data from user interactions with Mentor AI to improve the Service, train AI models, and develop new features, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6.8 AI Availability. Mentor AI features may be subject to usage limits based on your subscription tier. Edustoo reserves the right to modify AI availability, capabilities, or usage limits at any time without prior notice.
7.1 Mental Support Feature. The Service includes a "Mental Support" feature that allows users to track their mood, maintain a personal journal, and reflect on their emotional well-being. This feature is designed to promote self-awareness and personal reflection.
IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
THE MENTAL SUPPORT FEATURE IS NOT A MEDICAL SERVICE. It does NOT constitute medical advice, psychological counseling, psychiatric treatment, or any form of professional healthcare. Edustoo is NOT a healthcare provider. This feature is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. NEVER disregard professional medical advice because of information from this Service.
7.3 Seek Professional Help. If you are experiencing mental health issues, emotional distress, depression, anxiety, or any psychological concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional, licensed therapist, counselor, or psychiatrist. The Mental Support feature is not designed to address clinical mental health conditions.
EMERGENCY NOTICE
THE SERVICE IS NOT DESIGNED FOR EMERGENCY SITUATIONS. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, experiencing a mental health crisis, or having thoughts of self-harm or suicide: Call your local emergency services immediately (112 in Turkey, 911 in the US, 999 in the UK). Contact a crisis hotline in your country. Go to the nearest emergency room. DO NOT rely on the Service for emergency assistance.
7.5 Sensitive Data. Mood entries, journal content, and other data entered through the Mental Support feature may be considered sensitive personal information. This data is stored securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy, used to provide personalized features within the Service, accessible by Mentor AI to provide holistic recommendations, never sold to third parties for marketing purposes, and subject to deletion upon account termination or user request.
7.6 Parental Awareness. Parents and guardians of minor users should be aware that the Mental Support feature allows users to record personal thoughts and emotions. We encourage parents to discuss healthy technology use and emotional well-being with their children.
7.7 Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EDUSTOO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INJURIES, OR HARM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE MENTAL SUPPORT FEATURE. This limitation is further detailed in Section 16 (Limitation of Liability) of these Terms.
8.1 Social Features Overview. The Service provides social and collaborative features including user search and discovery, friend connections, Group Workspaces with shared chat, notes, and planners, Duo Mode for one-on-one collaboration, file and document sharing, and profile features including streaks and appreciation system.
8.2 Phone Verification Requirement. As stated in Section 4.4, access to social features requires phone number verification. Users without phone verification cannot join or create Groups, use Duo Mode, send or receive direct messages, or add friends.
8.3 Group Workspaces. Group Workspaces are collaborative spaces where multiple users can interact. You acknowledge that all messages in a Group are visible to all Group members, Group administrators have management privileges, shared notes and planners are accessible to all members, files uploaded are accessible to all members, you should not share confidential information in Groups, and Edustoo is not responsible for content shared by other members.
8.4 Duo Mode. Duo Mode enables one-on-one collaboration between two users. Messages and shared content are visible only to the two connected users, both users have equal access to shared notes and planners, and either user may terminate the Duo connection at any time.
8.5 Messaging and Communications. When using messaging features, you are solely responsible for the content of your messages. Messages should comply with these Terms and Community Guidelines. Do not send spam, unsolicited promotions, or use messaging for illegal purposes.
8.6 Message Storage and Retention. Messages and shared content are retained while your account is active and the relevant Group or Duo connection exists. Edustoo reserves the right to implement retention limits or automatic deletion policies in the future to optimize service performance and storage management. Users will be notified of material changes to retention policies.
Security Notice
Messages transmitted through the Service are NOT end-to-end encrypted. Edustoo may access message content for moderation, legal compliance, or service improvement. Do not share highly sensitive information (passwords, financial data, identification numbers) through messaging features.
8.8 File Sharing. When sharing files, you may only share files you own or have rights to share. Maximum file size is limited. Prohibited file types may be blocked. Files are scanned for malware, but Edustoo does not guarantee detection of all threats. You are responsible for ensuring shared files do not violate intellectual property rights.
8.9 Premium Storage Benefits. Storage limits and file retention periods for Groups may vary based on the Group administrator's subscription status.
8.10 Blocking and Reporting. Users may block other users and report inappropriate content or behavior through the in-app reporting feature.
8.11 No Responsibility for User Interactions. Edustoo is not responsible for the content of communications between users, accuracy of information shared by users, behavior or actions of other users, disputes between users, or any harm resulting from interactions with other users. You interact with other users at your own risk.
9.1 Definition. "User Content" means any content that you create, upload, submit, post, share, or transmit through the Service, including profile information, notes, study materials, documents, plans, schedules, messages, files, images, mood entries, journal content, goals, subjects, tracking data, comments, feedback, and any other content you provide.
9.2 Ownership. As between you and Edustoo, you retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in your User Content. However, by submitting User Content to the Service, you grant Edustoo the licenses described in this Section.
9.3 License Grant to Edustoo. By submitting User Content, you grant Edustoo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, process, display, distribute, and create derivative works from your User Content for providing the Service, improving and developing the Service, and using anonymized or aggregated versions for analytics and research. This license continues even if you stop using the Service, but only to the extent necessary for Edustoo to provide the Service to other users.
9.4 License Grant to Other Users. When you share User Content with other users (in Groups, Duo Mode, or public areas), you grant those users a non-exclusive license to view, access, and use that content within the context of the Service.
9.5 Content Representations and Warranties. By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that you own or have necessary rights to use and authorize Edustoo to use your User Content, your User Content does not infringe third-party rights, your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws, your User Content is accurate and not misleading, and your User Content does not contain viruses or harmful code.
9.6 Prohibited Content. You agree NOT to submit User Content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or objectionable; promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence; contains sexually explicit material; exploits minors; promotes illegal activities; infringes intellectual property rights; violates privacy or publicity rights; contains false or misleading information; contains spam or unauthorized advertising; contains malware or harmful code; or violates the Community Guidelines.
Academic Integrity Reminder
As stated in Section 5.3(f), using the Service to facilitate cheating, plagiarism, or academic misconduct is strictly prohibited. User Content should support honest learning and academic integrity.
9.7 Content Removal. Edustoo reserves the right to review, screen, or monitor User Content, remove or disable access to any User Content at any time for any reason, and remove User Content that violates these Terms. Edustoo is not responsible for failure to remove or delay in removing harmful content.
9.8 No Confidentiality. Unless expressly stated otherwise, User Content you share is not confidential. Other users with access may view, copy, or further share it. Do not share content you wish to keep confidential.
9.9 Feedback. If you provide Edustoo with any feedback, suggestions, or recommendations ("Feedback"), you grant Edustoo a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such Feedback without any obligation to you.
9.10 Data Portability. You may request a copy of your User Content by contacting info@edustoo.com. We will provide your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format within thirty (30) days, subject to identity verification.
10.1 Free and Premium Tiers. The Service is available in both free and premium tiers:
(a) Free Tier: Provides access to core features with certain limitations, including limited AI/Mentor AI usage, display of advertisements, standard storage limits, and basic features.
(b) Premium Tier ("Edustoo Premium"): Provides enhanced access including unlimited or expanded AI/Mentor AI usage, ad-free experience, increased storage limits, unlimited file uploads, verified badge (blue checkmark), priority support, and additional premium-exclusive features.
10.2 Subscription Plans. Edustoo Premium is available through Monthly subscription (auto-renewable) and Yearly subscription (auto-renewable). Specific pricing is displayed in the App at the time of purchase and may vary by region.
10.3 In-App Purchases. Premium subscriptions are purchased through in-app purchases via Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). All purchases are processed by the respective platform and are subject to their terms of service and payment policies.
10.4 Payment. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize the applicable platform to charge your designated payment method. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. You agree to pay all fees and applicable taxes. All prices are subject to change, but price changes will not affect active subscription periods.
Automatic Renewal Notice
SUBSCRIPTIONS AUTOMATICALLY RENEW unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your payment method will be automatically charged for renewal. You may manage or cancel your subscription in your device's subscription settings.
10.6 Cancellation. To cancel your subscription:
Cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid being charged for the next period. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Premium features until the end of your current paid period, then your account will revert to the Free tier. No refund will be provided for the unused portion of the current subscription period.
10.7 Free Trials. Edustoo may offer free trial periods. If you start a free trial, you may be required to provide payment information. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription. Free trial eligibility is limited to one trial per user.
10.8 Refund Policy. All subscription payments are NON-REFUNDABLE, except where required by applicable law. No refunds for partial periods, cancellations before period end, or unused features. Refund requests for purchases through Apple App Store must be directed to Apple. Refund requests for purchases through Google Play Store must be directed to Google. Edustoo cannot process refunds for transactions handled by Apple or Google.
10.9 Price Changes. Edustoo reserves the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified in advance. New prices will not apply until your next renewal period. You may cancel before renewal if you do not agree to the new price.
10.10 Premium Benefits in Groups. Certain Group features and storage limits are tied to the Group administrator's subscription status. If a Group administrator's Premium subscription expires, the Group may be subject to reduced storage limits and some Premium-only features may become unavailable.
10.11 Account Termination. If your account is terminated for violation of these Terms, you will lose access to Premium features immediately, no refund will be provided for remaining subscription time, and you remain responsible for any pending charges.
10.12 Service Availability. Premium features are provided subject to availability. Edustoo does not guarantee uninterrupted access and shall not be liable for temporary unavailability due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.
11.1 Third-Party Service Providers. The Service relies on various third-party service providers to deliver functionality, process data, and enhance user experience. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that your data may be processed by these third-party providers in accordance with their respective terms and privacy policies.
11.2 List of Third-Party Services. The Service currently integrates with the following third-party services (this list may be updated from time to time):
(a) Google Firebase: Authentication, Cloud Firestore (database), Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging (push notifications)

11.3 Data Sharing with Third Parties. By using the Service, you consent to the sharing of your data with the third-party service providers listed above for providing and maintaining the Service, processing authentication, storing and retrieving data, delivering push notifications, processing payments, displaying advertisements (Free tier), analyzing usage patterns, diagnosing technical issues, and providing AI-powered features.
11.4 Advertisements. Free tier users will see advertisements provided by Google AdMob. These advertisements may be personalized based on your interests, demographics, and usage patterns, subject to your device settings and consent choices. You may opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
11.5 Third-Party Links. The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services not owned or controlled by Edustoo. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party sites. We have no control over their content, privacy policies, or practices. We are not liable for any damage arising from your use of third-party sites.
11.6 Third-Party Terms. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. It is your responsibility to review and comply with applicable third-party terms.
11.7 Changes to Third-Party Services. Edustoo reserves the right to add, remove, or replace third-party service providers at any time. Material changes will be communicated through updates to our Privacy Policy.
11.8 Third-Party Service Availability. Edustoo does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or reliability of any third-party services. We are not responsible for any disruption, error, or failure of third-party services.
11.9 Payment Processors. All financial transactions are processed by third-party payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play Store). Edustoo does not directly collect or store payment card information, is not responsible for payment processing errors, and cannot process refunds for transactions handled by Apple or Google.
12.1 Edustoo's Intellectual Property. The Service and all of its contents, features, and functionality, including software, code, algorithms, technical infrastructure, visual design, user interface, text, graphics, logos, icons, images, illustrations, audio, video, multimedia content, data compilations, databases, educational content, AI models, prompts, configurations, and documentation, are owned by Edustoo, its licensors, or other providers and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
12.2 Limited License. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Edustoo grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and install the App on devices you own or control, access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes, and view and interact with content available through the Service.
This license does NOT include any right to modify, adapt, or create derivative works; sell, license, rent, lease, or commercially exploit the Service; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; remove or alter proprietary notices; or use the Service for commercial purposes without written consent.
12.3 Restrictions. You agree NOT to copy, reproduce, or duplicate any part of the Service except as expressly permitted; distribute, publicly display, or perform any Service content; modify, translate, or create derivative works; sell, resell, rent, lease, or sublicense access; use the Service to develop a competing product; use data mining, robots, or similar data gathering methods; frame or mirror any portion of the Service; systematically download or store Service content; or interfere with or circumvent security features.
12.4 Reservation of Rights. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved by Edustoo and its licensors.
12.5 User-Generated Content. As described in Section 9, you retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the licenses granted to Edustoo. However, any data, insights, analytics, or derivative works generated from your use of the Service ("Activity Data") shall be exclusively owned by Edustoo.
12.6 Feedback and Suggestions. As described in Section 9.9, any Feedback you provide becomes the property of Edustoo.
12.7 Open Source Software. The App may contain open source software components subject to separate license terms. A list of open source components may be found within the App settings.
12.8 Copyright Infringement Claims. If you believe any content on the Service infringes your copyright, please submit a notice in accordance with Section 14 (Copyright Infringement).
13.1 Edustoo Trademarks. "Edustoo," the Edustoo logo, the Edustoo owl mascot, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Edustoo or its affiliates (collectively, "Edustoo Marks"). These marks may be registered or pending registration in Turkey and other jurisdictions, including with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.
13.2 Prohibited Use. You may NOT use the Edustoo Marks without prior written permission; use marks confusingly similar to the Edustoo Marks; use the Edustoo Marks in any manner suggesting unauthorized sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation; use the Edustoo Marks in any manner that disparages Edustoo; or register or attempt to register any trademark, domain name, or social media handle incorporating the Edustoo Marks.

14.1 Respect for Intellectual Property. Edustoo respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law.
14.2 DMCA Notice Requirements. If you are a copyright owner and believe that any content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a notification pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) by providing the following information in writing:

14.4 Counter-Notification. If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our Copyright Agent with your signature, identification of the removed content and its previous location, a statement of good faith belief that the removal was a mistake, and your contact information with consent to jurisdiction.
14.5 Counter-Notification Process. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, Edustoo will forward it to the original complainant and inform them that the removed content may be restored in ten (10) business days. Content will be restored within 10-14 business days unless the complainant notifies us of a filed court action.
14.6 Repeat Infringers. Edustoo will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright. We may also limit access or terminate accounts of any user who infringes intellectual property rights, whether or not there is repeat infringement.
14.7 Misrepresentation Warning. You may be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys' fees) if you materially misrepresent that content is infringing. Consider seeking legal counsel before submitting a DMCA notice.
14.8 Turkish Copyright Law. For users in Turkey, the provisions of Turkish Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works also apply. The DMCA process is provided to manage global copyright claims for our international user base.

15.4 Mental Health Disclaimer. AS STATED IN SECTION 7, THE MENTAL SUPPORT FEATURE IS NOT A MEDICAL SERVICE. EDUSTOO DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY THAT THE MENTAL SUPPORT FEATURE WILL DIAGNOSE, TREAT, CURE, OR PREVENT ANY MENTAL HEALTH CONDITION, REPLACE PROFESSIONAL CARE, PROVIDE ACCURATE MENTAL HEALTH INSIGHTS, OR BE SUITABLE FOR USERS WITH MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS.
15.5 Third-Party Services Disclaimer. Edustoo disclaims all liability and makes no warranties regarding third-party services, including availability, reliability, accuracy, security, or privacy practices.
15.6 User Content Disclaimer. Edustoo does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any User Content. Any reliance on User Content is at your own risk.
15.7 Internet and Technology Risks. You acknowledge that the internet is inherently insecure, no system is completely secure and data breaches may occur, technical failures may affect the Service, and mobile applications may experience compatibility issues.
15.8 Jurisdictional Limitations. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, EDUSTOO'S WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
15.9 Acknowledgment. BY USING THE SERVICE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO THESE DISCLAIMERS. YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
16.1 Exclusion of Certain Damages. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL EDUSTOO, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT EDUSTOO HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
16.2 Cap on Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY OF EDUSTOO ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (a) the total amount you have paid to Edustoo in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) fifty United States Dollars (USD $50.00).
16.3 Specific Limitation for AI Features. WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, EDUSTOO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM reliance on AI-generated content or recommendations from Mentor AI; errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content; academic outcomes or decisions based on AI guidance; or any advice provided by Mentor AI, whether accurate or not.
16.4 Specific Limitation for Mental Support Features. AS REFERENCED IN SECTION 7.7, EDUSTOO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM your use of or reliance on the Mental Support feature; decisions made based on mood tracking data; failure to seek professional medical or psychological help; any mental health outcomes related to your use of the Service; or AI-generated insights related to your mental health or mood data.
16.5 Specific Limitation for User Interactions. EDUSTOO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR the conduct, actions, or content of any user; disputes between users; any harm resulting from interactions with other users; content shared in Groups, Duo Mode, or other social features; or loss of data shared with other users.
16.6 Third-Party Services. EDUSTOO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM the acts, omissions, or failures of third-party service providers; payment processing errors; service interruptions caused by third-party providers; data breaches at third-party providers; or changes to third-party terms, policies, or services.
16.7 Force Majeure. EDUSTOO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DELAY OR FAILURE TO PERFORM RESULTING FROM CAUSES BEYOND ITS REASONABLE CONTROL, INCLUDING acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, or pandemics; war, terrorism, civil unrest, or armed conflict; government actions, laws, regulations, or embargoes; labor disputes, strikes, or lockouts; internet or telecommunications failures; cyberattacks, hacking, or malware; power outages or equipment failures; or any other circumstances beyond Edustoo's reasonable control.
16.8 Essential Purpose. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT THE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION are a fundamental element of the basis of the bargain between you and Edustoo, reflect a fair allocation of risk between the parties, are essential for Edustoo to provide the Service at current pricing, and shall apply even if any limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.
16.9 Jurisdictional Variations. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, EDUSTOO'S LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
16.10 Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Edustoo, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, and service providers from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of or access to the Service; your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; your violation of any rights of any third party; User Content you submit, post, or share; your conduct in connection with the Service; or any false or misleading information you provide. Edustoo reserves the right, at your expense, to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify Edustoo.
17.1 Termination by You. You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature within the App (Settings > Account > Delete Account), or by submitting a deletion request via email to info@edustoo.com if you no longer have access to the App.
17.2 Effect of Termination by You. Upon your request for account termination, your account will be deactivated immediately, you will lose access to all features of the Service, your account and associated data will be scheduled for permanent deletion, permanent deletion will occur within thirty (30) days of your request, and during the 30-day period, you may contact us to cancel the deletion request and restore your account.
17.3 Termination by Edustoo. Edustoo reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms or Community Guidelines; violation of applicable laws; conduct harmful to other users, Edustoo, or third parties; suspected fraud, abuse, or security concerns; extended periods of inactivity; requests from law enforcement; discontinuation of the Service; technical or security reasons; or any other reason at Edustoo's sole discretion.
17.4 Notice of Termination. Where reasonably practicable, Edustoo will provide notice of termination. However, Edustoo may terminate without prior notice if you have committed a material breach of these Terms, providing notice would compromise an investigation, providing notice would create legal liability for Edustoo, or immediate action is necessary to protect users, Edustoo, or third parties.
17.5 Effect of Termination by Edustoo. Upon termination by Edustoo, your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately, Edustoo may delete your account data including User Content, any outstanding subscription fees remain due and payable, no refund will be provided for unused subscription time, and you remain bound by these Terms with respect to your prior use of the Service.
17.6 Data Deletion. Upon permanent termination of your account, your personal information will be deleted from our active databases, your User Content will be deleted (except where required to be retained by law), content you shared in Groups may remain visible to other Group members, messages sent to other users may remain in their accounts, anonymized or aggregated data may be retained, and backup copies may persist for a reasonable period before deletion.
17.7 Data Export. Before terminating your account, you may request a copy of your data by contacting info@edustoo.com. We will provide your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format within thirty (30) days, subject to identity verification.
17.8 Survival. The following sections shall survive termination of these Terms and your account: Sections 1 (Introduction), 8.7 (No Encryption Guarantee), 9 (User Content), 10.8 (Refund Policy), 11 (Third-Party Services), 12 (Intellectual Property), 13 (Trademarks), 14 (Copyright), 15 (Disclaimers), 16 (Limitation of Liability), 17.6 (Data Deletion), 18 (Dispute Resolution), 19 (Governing Law), and 20 (General Provisions).
17.9 Reactivation. If your account was terminated for violation of these Terms, Edustoo reserves the right to refuse any future registration or access. Any attempt to circumvent this restriction by creating new accounts may result in further action.
18.1 Good Faith Resolution. Before initiating any formal dispute resolution proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy ("Dispute") informally by contacting Edustoo at info@edustoo.com. Your notice must include your name and contact information, a detailed description of the Dispute, the specific relief you are seeking, and any supporting documentation.
18.2 Informal Resolution Period. Upon receipt of your notice, Edustoo will have thirty (30) days to respond and attempt to resolve the Dispute through good-faith negotiations. During this period, both parties agree to engage in at least one direct communication to discuss the Dispute, consider reasonable settlement proposals, and refrain from initiating formal legal proceedings (except for injunctive relief as provided below).
18.3 Formal Dispute Resolution. If a Dispute cannot be resolved informally within the 30-day period, either party may proceed with formal dispute resolution as follows:
(a) For Users Located in Turkey: Any Dispute shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of the Republic of Turkey, with venue in Karabük, Turkey. Both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of these courts.
(b) For Users Located Outside Turkey: Either party may elect to resolve the Dispute through binding arbitration administered by the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) in accordance with its arbitration rules, or the courts of the Republic of Turkey, with venue in Karabük, Turkey.
18.4 Arbitration Procedures. If arbitration is elected under Section 18.3(b), the arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator, the language of arbitration shall be English, the seat of arbitration shall be Istanbul, Turkey, the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction, and each party shall bear its own costs (arbitration fees shared equally unless the arbitrator determines otherwise).
Class Action Waiver
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AND EDUSTOO AGREE THAT any Dispute will be resolved on an individual basis only. Neither party shall bring or participate in any class action, collective action, or representative action against the other. Neither party shall join or consolidate claims with those of other individuals or entities.
18.6 Small Claims Court. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court within the applicable jurisdictional limits.
18.7 Injunctive Relief. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief from any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property rights, prevent unauthorized access or use of the Service, or address imminent harm that cannot be adequately remedied by monetary damages.
18.8 Time Limitation. Any Dispute must be brought within one (1) year after the date on which the claim arose, or it shall be permanently barred. This limitation period shall not apply where prohibited by applicable law.
18.9 Opt-Out. You may opt out of the arbitration provisions of this Section by sending written notice to info@edustoo.com within thirty (30) days of your first use of the Service. Your notice must include your name, email address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, all Disputes will be resolved exclusively by the courts of Turkey as provided in Section 18.3(a).
19.1 Applicable Law. These Terms and any Dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
19.2 Turkish Consumer Protection. If you are a consumer residing in Turkey, you may also benefit from mandatory provisions of Turkish consumer protection laws, including Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers, Regulation on Distance Contracts, Regulation on Service Contracts, and other applicable consumer protection regulations. Nothing in these Terms shall limit any rights you may have under mandatory Turkish consumer protection laws.
19.3 International Users. If you access the Service from outside Turkey, you are responsible for compliance with local laws to the extent they are applicable. The Service is controlled and operated from Turkey, and Edustoo makes no representation that the Service is appropriate or available for use in other locations.
19.4 Export Compliance. You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws and regulations. You may not use, export, or re-export the Service in violation of any applicable laws, including Turkish export laws and the export laws of your country of residence.
19.5 Language of Agreement. These Terms were originally drafted in English. In the event of any conflict between the English version and any translated version, the English version shall prevail, except where prohibited by applicable law.
20.1 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines incorporated herein by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Edustoo regarding the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, negotiations, and communications relating to the subject matter hereof.
20.2 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable while preserving its original intent. If modification is not possible, such provision shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. All remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
20.3 Waiver. No waiver of any term or condition of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term. Edustoo's failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
20.4 Assignment. You may not assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms or any of your rights or obligations hereunder without the prior written consent of Edustoo. Edustoo may freely assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms without restriction. Any purported assignment in violation of this Section shall be null and void.
20.5 Notices. Notices to you may be provided by email to the address associated with your account, push notification through the App, posting a notice within the App or on the Website, or any other method reasonably calculated to provide notice. All notices to Edustoo must be sent to:

20.6 No Agency. Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or franchise relationship between you and Edustoo. You have no authority to bind Edustoo in any way.
20.7 Third-Party Beneficiaries. These Terms do not confer any rights on any third party as a beneficiary, except that Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries with respect to users who access the App through the Apple App Store, and Google LLC and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries with respect to users who access the App through the Google Play Store. Apple and Google shall have the right to enforce these Terms against you.
20.8 Headings. The section and subsection headings in these Terms are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
20.9 Construction. These Terms shall not be construed against the drafter. Any ambiguity shall not be interpreted against either party based on the identity of the drafter.
20.10 Effective Date and Updates. These Terms are effective as of the "Last Revised" date indicated above. We encourage you to periodically review these Terms to stay informed of any updates.
